Hi, I’m Ryan.
I wasn’t always a writer. Since I was a little kid, I thought I’d grow up to be a painter – selling my pieces in Jackson Square and living somewhere small and moldy with a skylight. I like to believe I never truly gave up on that dream. I’m just holding out for the right skylight.
New Orleans born and raised, I cut my creative teeth in traditional agencies across South Louisiana – wrangling big ideas for local institutions like The National WWII Museum and Zatarain’s, plus national treasures like the NFL, NBA, and NASA. My love for the underdog (and appetite for branding) led me to working with an Austin-based packaging design company – for ten years and counting. You can find some of our beloved CPG start-ups filling the shelves at Target and Whole Foods.
After moving to San Francisco, I went in-house – working with Google Ads and YouTube marketing. I also helped craft Google's global Pride campaign to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ families. The campaign was called #ThisIsFamily, and it was a career-defining experience that shaped Google’s role in the queer experience.
Today, I serve as an Associate Creative Director at Pandora – working with a team of brilliant writers and producers at Studio Resonate, Pandora's in-house, audio-first creative consultancy. So if you want to talk custom audio strategy, listener experience, or general playlist-craft.
I’ve been honing my own voice as a member of the LGBTQ+ community since I could speak (which was not surprisingly early) and I’m passionate about helping well-intentioned brands and companies build inclusive workplaces and communications that speak to the world at large. So if that’s something you’re into, we’d definitely be a match.
I’m a stern believer in strategies that produce results. I’m also a stand-up comic, competitive eater, and podcast aficionado. But enough about me. Let’s talk about us.
Thanks for visiting.
